At the Huawei China Partner Conference 2026 on March 19, Li Peng, Senior Vice President of Huawei and President of both ICT Sales & Service and China Region, delivered a keynote speech declaring, “The era of the token economy is here.” He noted that China’s daily token consumption has surged to 180 trillion, with a new AI model emerging roughly every 36 hours, signaling that intelligence is rapidly transitioning from being merely “visible” to genuinely “usable.”

Li emphasized that AI development has achieved a critical leap—from general-purpose models to industry-specific intelligent agents. Multi-agent collaboration is maturing, enabling AI to move beyond a “supportive tool” and embed itself into enterprises’ core production processes. Ultra-low latency of around 10 milliseconds has become a fundamental requirement for industry solutions, driving large-scale deployment of private AI infrastructures, industry inference hubs, and high-performance storage clusters.

“Intelligent agents and industry intelligence are no longer distant visions—they’re becoming as essential as water and electricity, rapidly integrating into every sector,” Li said.

Facing these new opportunities in the intelligent era, Li reaffirmed Huawei’s commitment to “growing together with partners,” outlining two strategic pillars:

On technology investment:

- Continuously dedicating expert resources to deeply understand vertical industry scenarios

- Leveraging synergies across connectivity, computing, and cloud capabilities

- Transforming years of technical accumulation into tangible competitive advantages for partners

On ecosystem development:

- Strengthening the “partners + Huawei” collaborative framework to empower partner innovation

- Enabling partners to achieve sustained growth on Huawei’s platforms

- Equipping partners to become experts who “understand both their industries and AI,” allowing them to seize market opportunities ahead of competitors

Wang Tao, Executive Member of Huawei’s Board of Directors, added at the same event that artificial intelligence is fundamentally reshaping the foundational logic of industrial development at an accelerating pace. Huawei, he said, will fully embrace AI by building a robust computing infrastructure and promoting open-source, open-ecosystem strategies to empower partners in driving comprehensive intelligence across all industries.

Huawei has built an open technology foundation centered on its Ascend AI hardware and software stack. To date, the company has:

- Collaborated with over 3,000 partners

- Served more than 20 industries and 5,000 enterprise customers

- Supported the development of 65 leading large models

- Commercially deployed over 4,000 large-model-in-a-box appliances

In 2026, Huawei plans to open its full hardware portfolio—including AI modules and server supernodes—to deliver end-to-end computing power from data centers to edge environments. Additionally, Huawei’s enterprise-grade intelligent agent development platform, AgentArts, will enter public beta on April 30, followed by the release of its open-source enhanced version on May 30—aiming to reduce intelligent agent delivery time by over 60%.
