Fazzaco learned that James O'Neill has resigned from the Executive Director role atFairMarkets, an ASIC regulated broker, and moved to Blueberry Markets, the Australian-based rival.


A lawyer before November 2015, James switched to brokerage sector, joining FairMarkets. Hespent the last eight years at FairMarkets, having served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) fromMay 2020 to January 2021, when the broker was sold to the GK Group. Since then, he wasnamed Country Head where he focused on building Fairmarkets to an even greater brokeragehouse and exceeding the company's Australian customers financial expectations and needs.

James holds Master of Laws from University of Sydney. He has not specified his new role atBlueberry Markets yet.


This appointment follows Blueberry Markets' promotion of Jack Fung to its Chief FinanciaOfficer.
