Euronext has released its trading data for February 2023. Data show that the exchange's currency pair market turnover in the month increased slightly by 4.9%.
Spot market
● Data show that in February 2023, the total volume of the exchange's spot market was 59,428,258 transactions, an increase of 1% compared with 58,715,576 transactions in the previous month, and a decrease of 31% compared with 86,660,532 transactions in the same period last year.
Average daily volume (ADV) in the spot market for the month was 2,971,413 transactions, up 11% sequentially from 2,668,890 transactions in the previous month and down 31% from 4,333,027 transactions in the same period last year.
● Spot market turnover for the month was 237.923 billion euros, up 10% month-on-month compared to 215.165 billion euros in the previous month, but down 24% compared to 311.068 billion euros in the same period last year.
Derivatives market
● The exchange's futures trading volume for the month was 4,633,802 lots, an increase of 2.4% compared with 4525,694 lots in the previous month, and a decrease of 21.9% compared with 5,931 1,734 lots in the same period last year.
● Option volume for the month was 8,592,619 lots, down 6.9% from 9,233,065 lots in the previous month and down 19.3% from 1,0649,622 lots in the same period last year.
Currency pair market
● Total turnover on the Euronext currency pair market was US $412.193 billion, down 4.6% from US $432.221 billion in the previous month and 17.6% from US $500.193 billion in the same period last year.
● Average daily turnover in the currency pair market for the month was $20.61 billion, up 4.9% from $19.646 billion in the previous month and down 17.6% from $25.01 billion in the same period last year.
