Deutsche Borse has released its February 2023 spot market trading data. Data show that the exchange's spot market turnover totaled 113.31 billion euros in the month, compared with 106.95 billion euros in January, an increase of 5.9% compared with 172.95 billion euros in the same period last year, down 34.5%.
Turnover on the Xetra trading floor amounted to EUR 110.38 billion (same period last year: EUR 168.22 billion; Last month: 103.93 billion euros). Xetra's average daily turnover amounted to €5.67 billion (last year: €8.65 billion; Last month: 4.86 billion euros). Turnover on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange amounted to €2.93 billion (last year: €4.73 billion; Last month: 3.01 billion euros).
By asset class, equity turnover in the entire spot market amounted to €96.3 billion (last month: €89.33 billion). ETF/ETC/ETN (Exchange traded funds/Exchange Traded commodities/Exchange traded notes) turnover was 14.84 billion euros. Bond turnover was 530 million euros, certificate turnover was 970 million euros and fund turnover was 0.4 million euros.
In February, the most traded DAX stock on Xetra was Linde plc at 9.47 billion euros. Commerzbank AG led the MDAX with 1.6 billion euros, while Nordex SE led the SDAX with 197.39 million euros. In terms of ETF trading, the iShares Core DAX UCITS ETF had the highest turnover for the month at €425.02 million.
