Nasionale per leSocietae la Borsa (CONSOB), Italy's financial market supervisory authority, recently ordered Italian Internet service providers (ISPs) to shut down six websites offering illegal financial services in Italy. Since the authority was granted in July 2019, the total number of entities on CONSOB's regulatory blacklist has reached 839.
Details of the six blocked websites are as follows:
- Bamboozle Group LTD;
- TheActive Traders Ltd ;
- "Admiralfx" ;
- Rever LTD/"Vexxsel" ;
- EuropeanFX LIMITED;
- Gold Crown Mining Limited
Consob said the six platforms were not registered with the regulator and did not have the authority to offer financial services to Italian investors. These sites offer forex, CFDS and cryptocurrency derivatives.
According to Consob's announcement, ISPs in Italy are complying with the order to clean up the sites, but for technical reasons, the blocking action against the sites may take several days to take effect.
