Continuous Linked Settlement (CLS), a currency trading settlement and aggregation service company, reported that its daily average transaction volume (ADTV) processed in December 2022 was only $1.704 trillion, a 10% decrease compared to the previous month.
CLS has reported a decrease in daily average trading volume for three consecutive months. Among them, the daily average trading volume in November was $1.892 trillion, a decrease of 2% compared to the previous month; In October, it was $1.928 trillion, a decrease of 5% compared to the previous month. However, compared to $1.648 trillion in December 2021, the daily average trading volume processed by CLS in December increased slightly by 3%.
In December 2022, the daily average trading volume of currency to forward, currency to swap, and currency to spot processed by CLS was $0.107 trillion, $1.188 trillion, and $0.409 trillion, respectively, a decrease from $0.145 trillion, $1.274 trillion, and $0.473 trillion in December 2021.
Keith Tippell, Chief Product Officer of CLS, stated, "In December 2022, we processed an average daily trading volume of approximately $1.7 trillion, an increase of 3% year-on-year.
