According to data from the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the retail currency deposits of customers by currency brokers in the region decreased in November 2022 compared to the previous month.
The data covers all CFTC registered brokers (FCMs), namely retail trading brokers (RFEDs) and brokerage dealers holding retail currency deposits in the United States, specifically six companies: Gain Capital, IG US, Interactive Brokers, OANDA, CHARLES SCHWAB, and the latest addition to Trading. com Markets.
According to CFTC data, in November 2022, these six registered brokers held monetary funds of $486.1 million. Excluding Trading. com Markets, the retail currency deposits of the other five brokers reached $485.5 million, a monthly decrease of 3.6% compared to the $503.6 million reported in October 2022. Only retail currency deposits from Jiasheng and Trading. com Markets have grown
Among these six companies, four have seen a decrease in retail currency deposits, namely IG US, Yingtou Securities, Anda, and CHARLES SCHWAB.
IG US's retail deposits decreased by 18.3% to $44.5 million, while Yingtou Securities decreased by 2.4% to $25.8 million. CHARLES SCHWAB's retail currency deposits also decreased by 1% to $67.2 million, compared to $67.9 million last month. In addition, Anda decreased by 4.7% to a total of $164.2 million.
In November, Jiasheng's customer deposits increased by $1.3 million to $183.8 million, compared to $182.4 million at the end of October, an increase of 0.74% month on month. Trading. com Markets increased by $28556 to $590991, a 5% increase compared to the previous month.
Jiasheng's market share has increased and remains dominant
The market share of these brokers has slightly changed compared to the previous month, as shown in the figure below.
Among them, Jiasheng's market share has increased by 2%, and its current market share is 38%, still occupying a dominant position. CHARLES SCHWAB's market share has increased by 1%, and its current share is 14%.
IG US's market share this month was 9%, a decrease of 2% compared to last month.
The market share of other brokers remains unchanged. Anda and Yingtou Securities respectively gained 34% and 5% shares in November, while Trading. com Markets gained less than 1%.
