London-based Blockchain research and development company Online Blockchain plc (OBC) has announced that it has sold part of its stake in ADVFN plc (ADVFN) through a series of market sales for a total consideration of £256,340. ADVFN is a web-based platform that provides private investors with data on stocks, cryptocurrencies and other financial markets.
Since OBC's announcement of the sale of its interest in ADVFN on 29 March 2023, the company has sold a total of 1,055,000 ADVFN ordinary shares at an average price of 24.3 pence per share. OBC explained that the proceeds from these sales would be used for its general working capital purposes.
OBC has 3,525,938 common shares remaining in ADVFN, representing 7.7% of ADVFN's issued share capital. Based on the closing mid-market price of 24.5p per ADVFN ordinary share, the market value of ADVFN shares owned by OBC is approximately £863,855.
As OBC no longer has significant influence over ADVFN, its interest in ADVFN is now treated as a separate investment.
OBC's main focus remains on The development of the Umbria network, where the company serves as a consultant, and the planned launch of a new NFT (non-homogeneous token) project based on The Rocky Horror Show.
