Dating software to make "friends", but cheated investment loss of hundreds of thousands

The court heard that last Thursday (14 October), Ms Zhang met a "man" through a mobile dating app. After that, the two people switched to wechat chat and became "friends" who talked about everything. "Man" claimed to know an investment website so easy to make money, Ms. Zhang believed it. The next day, Ms. Cheung logged in to the website provided by the Man and registered, and successively invested RMB520 and RMB13,140, both of which were profitable and successfully withdrawn.

The "man" has been encouraging Ms. Zhang to increase investment to earn more returns, Ms. Zhang then invested 30,000 yuan, but the "man" thought that it was not enough and asked Ms. Zhang to cooperate to invest more. The "man" also claimed to have deposited RMB 70,000 into Ms. Zhang's investment account. Later, Ms. Zhang checked her investment account and found that 70,000 yuan had really been deposited.

During the period, the customer service contacted Ms. Zhang, because she found that a third party had deposited RMB 70,000 in her investment account, and if she wanted to prove that the relevant money was not "black money", she had to deposit another RMB 70,000.

Soon, the customer service pointed out that her investment account had been "frozen", and if she wanted to "unfreeze", she had to deposit another 100,000 yuan. Ms. Zhang once again deposited as required. After the investment account was "unfrozen", Ms. Zhang checked her investment account and found that there was a balance of 600,000 yuan. When Ms. Zhang wanted to withdraw cash, she was informed by customer service that she must deposit another 20% of the total amount before she could withdraw cash. At this time, Ms. Zhang suspected of being cheated and reported the matter to the police.
