Course of the case

After passing the friend, the customer service pulled Mr. Li into a wechat group called "Weixin International" investment and finance, and under the guidance of the "teacher" in the group, downloaded and registered the APP of "Weixin International", and deposited 1,000 yuan into his account by means of transfer and remittance. The so-called Restoration International software is a foreign exchange platform, users can buy foreign exchange through the software rise and fall.

Trial of case

From July to December 2018, defendant Wen provided the fake foreign exchange investment APP "Weixin International" to Defendant Wu and other groups for use in defrauding investment clients of money. Wu hired defendants Chen Mou, Hu Mou, Xiong Mou and other more than a dozen people to set up a fraud gang, Chen Mou, Hu Mou and others impersonated consulting customer service, mentors, customers, and through false publicity in the wechat group, to induce customers to buy and sell gold, US dollars, Bitcoin and other transactions in the "Weixin International" APP investment.

Once the customer invests, the investment money goes directly into the bank account controlled by Wen, Wu and others. Wen, Wu and others tampered with background data to control the rise and fall of foreign exchange, forming the illusion of customers' own investment failure. Wen, Wu will first defrauded investment funds in proportion to distribution, Wu and then in the form of basic salary plus commission to Chen, Hu and other people pay remuneration. During the above period, Wen used the "Weixin International" APP to defraud Li, Wang, Zhang and other people to invest a total of 3.913 million yuan.
