Netherlands-based crypto firm Bitvavo has got registered with the French Autorite des marchesfinanciers (AMF) as a Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP), permitting to the firm to delivercrypto products and services in the French market.
The launch in France is part of Bitvavo's ambition to become the leading crypto exchange inEurope, notes CEO Mark Nuvelstijn.
'Securing registration with the French AMF marks a pivotal moment for us. We are excitedabout bringing our consumer-focused offering to the French market", said Nuvelstiin. "Weanticipate that the factors contributing to our market leadership in the Netherlands wil similarlyappeal to the French audience."
This follows the company's obtainment of a registration in Austria this month. Besides, it hasreceived a regulatory approval from the ltalian supervisor in 2022
Moreover, Bitvavo has also filed registration applications in other major markets
