FTX Europe, the European subsidiary of bankrupt crypto giant FTX, has created a new website dedicated to customers withdrawing their account balances on the FTX Europe platform. The website, with the domain name https://ftxeurope.eu/, has been approved by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).

It is reported that the website does not provide any other services other than balance withdrawal.

FTX Europe said in an email: "Please note that our new domain name www.ftxeurope.eu has been approved by our regulator CySEC. The website will only be available for use by FTX Europe customers to withdraw their account balances. We do not offer any other services or products through the site."

FTX Europe is headquartered in Switzerland, with regional headquarters in Cyprus. The European subsidiary received a crypto license from CySEC in March 2022, followed by a Cyprus Investment Company (CIF) license in September of the same year. However, less than two months later, FTX declared bankruptcy and CySEC immediately suspended operations of its European subsidiary.

In December, the regulator issued a statement that it extended the suspension of FTX Europe's Cyprus CIF licence until March 31, 2023 to enable the company to "take the necessary actions to ensure its compliance with the relevant regulations of the Cyprus Investment Services and Activities and Regulated Markets Act 2017". At the same time, CySEC also stated that corporate clients complete their own transactions and transactions with previous clients on the instructions of the clients, and may return all funds and financial instruments attributable to their clients.
