FTX Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX, will resume its cryptocurrency and fiat withdrawal services from February 21.
Withdrawals will be processed through the Liquid Japan web platform, the company said in a statement. Liquid was acquired by FTX in 2022.
Customers with assets on the exchange are required to confirm their balances. The company added that users who do not have an account on the Liquid Japan platform will need to open one in order to make asset withdrawals.
FTX Japan said it had contacted all clients with funds on the platform to inform it of the withdrawal procedure. FTX Japan urges users to be aware that the entire withdrawal process may be slow, given the large number of requests that will be processed.
Following the collapse of FTX and its sister trading firm Alameda Research, FTX Japan suspended its cryptocurrency and fiat money withdrawal services in November 2022. The platform was initially required to suspend operations in early December 2022. However, FTX Japan's suspension was eventually extended to March 2023. According to the company's statement on Monday, the platform also intends to resume other services.
