London, UK, 4th April 2023 - IG Group (LON: IGG), a purpose-driven global fintech company, today announces that it has appointed Adam Wheelwright as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to Drive its innovation agenda. Adam will join the company's London headquarters on 17 April 2023.Adam has extensive experience designing and delivering complex transformational technology projects across financial services and large organisations, and has led teams in the US, Europe and Asia. Before joining IG Group, Adam was Chief Information Officer for the UK Health Security Agency and, since 2021, a member of the NHS Test and Trace Executive Committee. There, he was responsible for the design, delivery and development of all technical solutions to support the country's response to the outbreak.Prior to that, Adam was Managing Director of NatWest Group, where he co-founded digital retail bank Bó and served as its Chief Operating Officer. He is also Chief Administrative Officer of NatWest Markets, the group's capital markets arm, leading its £500m digital transformation programme.
