BUX Markets: What is FSCS?

Description:

FSCS is the UK's final compensation fund for authorized financial services company clients. If a company is unable or may be unable to pay a claim against it, FSCS may pay compensation. This is usually because it has stopped trading or has been declared in default. It is independent of the government and the financial industry and was established under the Financial Services and Markets Act of 2000 and began operating on December 1, 2001 (although it still covers claims before that date). It does not charge individual consumers who use its services.

Please refer to the FSCS website or call 0800 678 1100 for more details.
