Singapore, 20 September 2022: Vantage, an international multi-asset trading platform, has announced a partnership with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as part of its social responsibility to increase educational opportunities in emerging markets such as India.
Today, Vantage and UNESCO launched a research report entitled "The State of Education in India 2022 - Teaching and Artificial Intelligence" in New Delhi, India. The report covers a number of issues related to the deep integration of AI and education, including how AI can help teachers provide better education services and improve the efficiency of knowledge and skills learning through AI.
Marc Despallieres, Vantage's chief strategy and trading officer, said: "Our firm's global footprint includes many emerging markets, which gives us a unique perspective on the issues facing our communities. Based on our shared values of inclusion and equity, we hope to forge a long-term strategic partnership with UNESCO. As a financial services provider, supporting the development of emerging technologies in education, such as the integration of education and artificial intelligence and the digital Education Implementation Plan, is a natural first step on the educational journey."
Speaking about the role of AI in financial inclusion, Eric Falt, UNESCO representative for Bhutan, India, Maldives and Sri Lanka, said: "While the world may be taking a wait-and-see attitude towards AI, you can be sure that AI is here to stay. With the rise of ICT and digital banking platforms, artificial intelligence has made financial inclusion a reality in India. Financial education and skills are key to improving the economic and social well-being of people, especially women. In light of this, we are very pleased to be working with Vantage, which shares our philosophy."
Vantage's partnership with UNESCO's New Delhi office brings together two organizations with a shared desire to ensure that no one is left behind. In the coming years, Vantage aims to leverage its financial and technical expertise to support UNESCO's educational activities in India, improving access to finance education and giving more resources to those who need it most.
Vantage's strategic partnership with UNESCO marks another milestone in its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) programme, launched in July 2022. During the Extreme E electric off-road race in Sardinia, Italy, Vantage partnered with renowned social media producer "Supercar Blondie" to raise awareness about climate change and female empowerment. In addition, the company is running several other ESG initiatives this year, including a dollar-for-dollar matching campaign in partnership with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and a global blood drive at its offices.
