We hope we all get some wins in the trade.Today we take a look at the crazy performance of the US 30 index after yesterday's US CPI data. The figure came in below expectations, which continues a weaker-than-expected release. This is still a puzzling question because in the last week, we have seen the PPI increase. Inflation is 7.1% a year. Will that be enough for the Fed to set a slightly dovish stance this week?The Fed's message has softened, but we still want to see rates rise 50 points this week. That's down from previous meetings, so it's also a softening of the field, if it happens at all. I'm a gambler wondering if we'll see 25 points before Christmas, but realists think we'll probably see the expected 50 points.The US 30 index saw a wave of declines after the CPI data, which does make me wonder if the market is unnerved by the Fed's message this week, which could coincide with the high of the rally.
