Guangfa Futures Co., Ltd. was established in March 1993 and is one of the earliest large-scale professional futures companies registered with the industrial and commercial administration authorities in China. The company has a registered capital of 1.9 billion RMB and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guangfa Securities Co., Ltd.
The company is headquartered in Guangzhou and has branches in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dalian, Zhengzhou, Qingdao, Xi'an, Wuhan, Nanjing, Foshan, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing, Dongguan, Shantou, Nanning, Kunming, Chengdu, Xiamen, Fuzhou, Ningbo, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Jilin and other places. In May 2006, the company established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Guangfa Futures (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. in Hong Kong. In 2013, the company acquired 100% equity of Natixis Commodity Markets Limited, a subsidiary of French Foreign Trade Bank, through GF Futures (Hong Kong) Limited and renamed it GF Financial Markets (UK) Limited. The company is the first tier one member of the London Metal Exchange's Chinese capital circle and one of the first batch of Chinese members of the London Stock Exchange, And the company obtained the "RMB Qualified Foreign Investor (RQFII)" qualification approved by the China Securities Regulatory Commission in April 2016. In April 2013, the company established a wholly-owned commercial subsidiary in Shanghai. Guangfa Futures has established a business network in the Pearl River Delta region, covering major cities across the country, and radiating into the global derivatives market through Hong Kong and London. The company's business scope includes commodity futures brokerage, financial futures brokerage, futures investment consulting, asset management, and fund sales. Hong Kong and UK subsidiaries can act as agents for all types of financial derivatives business, including commodity futures, indices, foreign exchange, interest rates, etc. in Hong Kong and overseas. The business scope of the trading subsidiary includes warehouse receipt services, basis trading, over-the-counter derivatives business, and other business related to risk management services.
